Uganda Game Viewing & Cultural Tour
On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, your driver guide receives you and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, the most beautiful protected area in Uganda. We have a lunch stop at Masindi after which we proceed to the top of magnificent Murchison Falls. This is where the world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Great Rift escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below.
Day 2: Wildlife Viewing in Murchison Falls National Park of Uganda
Have breakfast in the morning then go for your first Game drive in Uganda. We game watch north of River Nile on the Buligi, Albert and Queens in the company of a trained ranger guide. View a variety ofSavannah wildlife; Giraffes, Antelope species, Lions, African Elephants, Leopards, several cats species, Reptiles and a variety of Savannah woodland birds. After lunch, you go for the spectacular launch cruise on the a Nile for more game viewing at close quarters. This is a paradise for Hippos and Nile Crocodiles. Here is also a prolific birdlife, watch Herons, Kingfishers, Bee-eaters, Eagles and the elusive Shoebill.
Day 3: Game Viewing to Kibale Forest For Chimpanzee Trekking
Have a whole day drive from Murchison Falls National Park via Hoima, through verdant countryside, traditional homesteads and farms to Kibale National Park for the Chimpanzee Trekking experience.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Uganda
You have breakfast, report to Kanyanchu Tourist centre where tourist activities begin. A ranger guide briefs Chimp trackers on the tracking and forest conduct before setting off for this memorable experience.
Kibale National Park is a home to the endangered Chimpanzees and the best place to track them in Uganda. Kibale National Park boosts of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa, namely; Man’s closest relatives, the Chimpanzees, the threatened Red Colobus monkey, Black-and-White Colobus, Blue monkey, Pottos, Red-tailed Monkeys, Grey-cheeked Mangaby, Varvet Monkeys, Baboons name it. After lunch, there will be an optional nature walk to the Bigodi Wetland. The walk is a community based activity set up to enable tourists give back to the community and yet enjoy the nature offered by the swamp like the many colorful butterflies, birds and a variety of plant species.
Day 5: Uganda Tour to Crater Lakes at Kibale Forest National Park
You will have breakfast before proceeding to the crater lakes. Enjoy the beauty of the numerous small lakes, surrounded by gentle hills, and stunning views. Take a hike at Lake Nkuruba to encounter different species of primates and birds, and visit the Mahoma Falls. Meet the local people as you walk through their villages.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for Game Viewing
Have breakfast then embark on the tour to Queen Elizabeth National Park of Uganda. On the way, look out for Waterbucks, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety Savannah Birds. Have lunch on arrival and in the afternoon, enjoy the unique Launch cruise on Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip sails through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos, a congregation of Pelicans, Cormorants, Gulls, Terns, Sand Pipers, Lapwings and other species of water birds. Expect to see more game on this cruise. In simple words, this cruise is an excellent platform for photography, birding and Game viewing.
Day 7: Game Viewing in Uganda
The day begins early as the tour leads to the mating ground of the Uganda kobs. Search for the famous tree climbing lions of Ishasha, Elephants, Buffaloes and several other wild animals in their natural habitats. On return, we have lunch then rest during the heat of the day and in the evening an optional leisurely walk around the Mweya peninsular for Warthogs, Birds, Banded Mongoose just to mention but a few will be a productive alternative.
Day 8: Tour to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for Gorilla Trekking
This morning, you will have another game drive, hope to see more Savannah Wildlife possibly missed the previous day, besides, it is more exciting watching the famous tree Climbing Lions of Uganda for another time. Therefore we have our breakfast served early and with our luggage we board our Safari vehicle. We carry packed lunch as it is our plan to head to Bwindi the home of the endangered Mountain Gorillas for Gorilla Trekking.
Day 9: Mountain Gorilla Tracking Tour in Uganda
Have Breakfast and with packed Lunch report to the ranger station for registration and a briefing by the a ranger guide on matters regarding Gorilla tracking and forest conduct, then you will be taken into the sanctuary to enjoy the beauty and freshness of the forest yet the home to over a half of the world’s Mountain Gorillas for your tracking experience.
Gorilla tracking takes 1– 8 hours, it depends on how long it takes to meet these wild gentle giants, some fitness is required. On meeting the Gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them. Imagine an experience, sitting among the gorillas amidst the forest, listening to them grumble to each other! An optional guided village walk to the local Batwa community will be available in the evening for the interested members.
Day 10: Transfer to Uganda’s Deepest Lake- Bunyonyi
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. The tour drive through Kigezi terraces, look at the magnificent-looking scenery arriving Bunyonyi in good time for lunch.
You can spend the evening in rest or have a boat ride or a Nature walk or any activity of your choice. All costs are include on the safari.
Day11: Lake Bunyonyi Uganda Safari
Today, you will do leisurely activities among which shall include; Bird Watching, Swimming, a village walk to the Batwa and Bakiga communities. All cost part of the safari cost.
Day12: Uganda Wildlife Tour to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, we drive to Lake Mburo National Park with a lunch stop in Mbarara town. We arrive in the Afternoon, relax for a while then go for an optional game drive through the fringing swamp area. View Zebras, the rare and shy Sitatunga Antelope, Topi and the gigantic Eland.
Day 13: Transfer to Kampala Via the Uganda Equator
After breakfast, you will take an interesting nature walk in the guidance of a game range. This park boosts of the best Nature walks and it’s only here that you can view Game on a walk.
After the walk, we embark on the journey back to Kampala with a brief stop at the equator for photographic opportunities and the Equator experience.
Day 14: Kampala City Tour
The tour starts in the morning. We start with a visit to the Royal Colonial Parliament Of Buganda “Bulange” and then to the Kabaka/Kings Lake. The lake is man-made and yet a perfect spot for bird watchers. We continue to the Uganda Museum before having lunch at Garden City, a modern shopping mall in the City.
After Lunch, we head to Namugongo for the Uganda Maytrs Shrine. These were martyrs of Christian faith who were burnt to death on the orders of a Buganda King between 1885-1887.
Finally you will get cultural entertainment/exhibition at the Ndere center in the evening
