Savannah Game Watching, Chimpanzees & Gorillas in Uganda 7 Days
Day 1: Starting Savannah Game Watching, Chimpanzees & Gorillas Tour in Uganda
Wanyama tours, tour guide will receive you on arrival at Entebbe International Airport for the drive to Kibale Forest National park. On your 4-6 hour drive, enjoy a perfect scenic view of Uganda, through a variety of vegetations, plantations and local people of Uganda Homesteads. We arrive Fort Portal in the afternoon hours, if time avails, we have a guided tour of this cool town.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking Tour in Uganda
You will have breakfast then report to the ranger station for Chimpanzee Trekking briefing by a ranger guide. You start your Kibale Forest walk in search for man’ closest relatives, the Chimpanzees. A variety of primates species in Uganda and other wildlife leave in this forest, therefore there are high chances of seeing Forest Birds in Uganda, Forest Antelopes, Hogs Species, Forest Elephants, just to mention but a few. In the evening, there will be an optional nocturnal primates walk in the forest, please expect to meet Pottos, Bush Babies and the Galagos.
Day 3: Transfer to Savannah for your Game Viewing Tour in Uganda
We have breakfast then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. While entering the park, expect to see Waterbucks, African Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. We have lunch then take on to the unique Launch cruise in Uganda on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos, you shall see herds of Elephants, Buffaloes, Nile Crocodiles, Baboons, a number of other Mammalian Species and a stunning birdlife at the water’s edge. Generally the cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, Birding and Game viewing in Uganda.
Day 4: Tree Climbing Lions Game Viewing Tour in Uganda
The day begins early as we head for the mating ground of the Uganda kobs. We search for the Popular tree climbing lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards, Primates, and other wild animals in their natural habitat, before returning for lunch. On return, we have lunch then rest during the heat of the day. In the evening an optional leisurely walk around the Mweya peninsular for Warthogs, Birds, Banded Mongoose, name it will be a productive alternative.
Day 5: Tree Climbing Lines Quest and Transfer to Bwindi Mountain Gorillas’ Home
This morning we shall have another game drive, we hope to see more Savannah Wildlife possibly missed the previous day, besides, it is more exciting watching the famous tree Climbing Lions of Uganda for another time. Therefore we have our breakfast served early and with our luggage we board our Safari vehicle. We carry packed lunch as it is our plan to head to Bwindi the home of the endangered Mountain Morillas for Gorilla Trekking.
Day 6: Uganda Gorilla Tracking Tour in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Have Breakfast and with packed Lunch report to the ranger station for registration and briefing by the ranger guide on matters regarding Gorilla tracking and forest conduct, then you will be taken into the sanctuary to enjoy the beauty and freshness of the forest yet the home to over a half of the world’s Mountain Gorillas for your tracking experience.
Gorilla tracking takes 1– 8 hours, it depends on how long it takes to meet these wild gentle giants, some fitness is required. On meeting the Gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them. Imagine an experience, sitting among the gorillas amidst the forest, listening to them grumble to each other! An optional guided village walk to the local Batwa community will be available in the evening for the interested members.
Day 7: Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe After Gorilla Tracking In Bwindi- Uganda Safaris
We have breakfast this morning then transfer to Kampala. We have lunch in Mbarara and a brief stop at the Equator for an experience in both Hemispheres.
